| Ralph Garcia grew up enjoying such films as The Dark Crystal and Willow. As a youth, he was always inclined toward creative forms of expression, such as drawing and writing short stories and poetry, as well as the technical side of presenting such art. In high school, he made a hobby of exploring multimedia, from linear video editing to audio production and web design. Upon graduating high school, Ralph attended De Anza College to study film and sociology. He continued his studies at San José State University, where he graduated from the Radio, Television, and Film (RTVF) program with a concentration on Multimedia and Design and a minor in sociology. In 2005, Ralph co-directed and edited several episodes of Real Talk, a bi-weekly talk show discussing the issues of Asian-American youth. In 2006, he interned with Cinequest to film and edit episodes of The Cinequest Special Report, a podcast series offering daily coverage of Cinequest's 2006 film festival, as well as episodes of The F Word, an original podcast sitcom. Ralph has since edited a number of projects with both Cinequest and SFour Productions and is currently focused on expanding his abilities in post-production and multimedia design. |
